Ringing Finally Ended, but There’s No Button to... →
The unmistakably jarring sound of an iPhone marimba ring interrupted the soft and spiritual final measures of Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 at the New York Philharmonic on Tuesday night. The conductor, Alan Gilbert, did something almost unheard-of in a concert hall: He stopped the performance. But the ringing kept on going, prompting increasingly angry shouts in the audience directed at the...

He ate it before it was cool.
This falls into the same category as knock-knock jokes: bad, but funny. You know you shouldn’t laugh, but you do.

Up in the Air is strangely fascinating. Has a lot of those… little moments. The adults running into the hotel barefoot and wet and laughing and drunk. All of the airport scenes. It’s nice. Drying the wet cardboard cutout in his hotel bathroom.
I quite enjoyed this movie when I saw it in theaters. I should probably watch it again.

Holiday music has no effect on me.
Holiday music has the opposite effect on me that it’s supposed to—especially when I’m hearing a smooth jazz rendition of “Winter Wonderland” while it’s 65° and sunny out.
